This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Senior Program Director – Membership & Program Development will lead the membership department of the Centennial Hills Y - focusing on retention, member engagement, and family programming at the largest YMCA in Southern Nevada. The Senior Program Director will also be responsible for providing leadership to the branch directors of various departments such as Health & Wellness, Kids Gym, Aquatics, and Sports.
- Assists with branch management and day-to-day operations, ensuring the adherence to branch policies and procedures.
- Key point of contact for membership engagement and program development.
- Ensures a level of service and engagement that fosters loyalty amongst those we serve.
- Coordinates and expands branch efforts to maintain effective relationships with the membership base, key leaders, and community partners.
- Participates in the creation of the annual budget; manages and implements the approved Membership Department budget and takes appropriate action to correct variances.
- Develops sustainable systems to support employee onboarding and training that prepare staff for success.
- Provides consistent, high-quality member service and programming.
- Identifies areas for membership improvement through increased program standardization and the alignment of organizational focus areas by frequently researching the internal and external environment for best practices.
- Creates a strategy for family programming within the branch and immediate community. Develops, implements, and manages operating plans to effectively actualize the strategy and promote growth.
- Executes strategies to ensure that members and program participants connect with one another and with the YMCA through small communities and consistent friendly interactions.
- Recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteers. Leads staff effectively.
- Establishes and maintains collaborations with municipalities and community organizations.
- Ensures the delivery of high-quality, member-focused programming through innovative program development, exceptional organization with attention to detail, consistent program evaluations, and ongoing staff training.
- Performs Manager-On-Duty responsibilities for eight or more hours per week, and makes self available for tours whenever needed.
- Maintains a 50% or higher tour conversion rate and develops other department directors in accordance with Secret Shopper scores.
- Organizes YMCA membership events (e.g., Healthy Kids Day, Halloween at the Y, Member Appreciation Day, partner events, and the like) and promotes the Y at community events.

- Prior YMCA experience strongly preferred.
- Current CPR, AED, Oxygen & First Aid Certifications (required)
- YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification (strongly preferred)
Salary: $47,500.00 - $63,000.00
