We are looking for a Manager, Corporate & Public Partnership to increase Teach For America- Las Vegas’ funding base by researching, establishing and maintaining strong corporate and public partnerships across alliances which will ultimately increase access to an excellent education for all children. You will be an architect, ensuring we build a flawless development strategy to secure gifts and grants through intentional campaigns. You will submit cyclical proposals and grants and properly manage funder relationships with varying engagement tools like press releases, presentations, employee engagement opportunities. 

Broadly, corporate and public partnerships are an integral part of our giving community and are an important source of funding in Las Vegas. Having corporate and public partnerships invested in TFA is a sign to the community and legislators that education is a priority and has a broader impact than just direct dollars. In Las Vegas, we are at a pivotal point when we can reshape our engagement strategy and bring them to the next level. Thus, we seek a talented leader, someone who can reinvent how nonprofits partner with the wider ecosystem and scale existing support from our partners while growing the base to include a diverse set of partners who are both sources of strong funding and champions of our movement in the community.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Portfolio Management, Strategy and Campaign Planning (30%)

  • Responsible for mapping, cultivating, stewarding and retaining corporate giving and public partnerships in alignment with annual regional goals
  • Collaborate with MD, Development to develop vision for corporate and public (state, district and charter) partnership
  • Manage campaign planning for corporate and public partnership
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of new and existing donors, to inform strategy for influencing, motivating and inspiring donors to contribute to our work and to grow and diversify our current giving portfolio

 Cultivation and Stewardship (30%)

  • Participates in external engagements to cultivate prospects and sustain current donors
  • Communicates Teach For America’s vision, priorities and goals in a compelling way to prospects and donors
  • Participates in new funding programs in coordination with full team such as Innovator Committee and Regional Board subcommittee
  • Steward and identify a portfolio of prospects and current donors

 Development Operations (10%)

  • Maintain prospect and donor engagements in Salesforce
  • Manages portfolio movement in Salesforce
  • Supports all development event-related planning and execution
  • Participates in department deliverables (including weekly reports, meetings, database, etc.)

 Communications and Marketing (10%)

  • Participates in establishing scope and sequence of external communications plan
  • Participates in creating fundraising marketing materials in collaboration with the team about Teach For America’s vision, priorities, and goals, including written appeals, renewal notices, reports, proposals, event invitations, PowerPoint decks and one-pagers

 Regional Team Responsibilities (20%)

  • Supports, attends, and/or participates in all regional and development team activities, including corps member selection and matriculation, full staff corps-facing events like All Corps Conferences and Induction (including weekends), staff meetings, functional team meetings and retreats, and more
  • Supports all shared development team responsibilities, including board meetings, school visits, etc.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3 -5 years of work experience preferred
  • Experience with fundraising and annual campaigns strongly preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM-software preferred

 Work Demands

  • Some weekend and evening work required
  • Ability to travel to in-person meetings across the city and state

 Skills:
