Director, Strategic Innovations

This job is no longer available

Las Vegas, NV, USA
Full-time

We are looking for a leader who will fight for educational equity by launching, testing, and iterating on new pilot programs to determine the best path forward to achieving our 2025 Vision. You will act in a similar manner to a consultant in launching pilots aligned to our vision while also bringing fresh new approaches to the work that we do. Some recent brainstorms included: a high-school to college talent pipeline program that increases the local teacher leadership pool, a referral initiative that gives stipends to constituents who grow our leadership force, or Visit Vegas ConnectED- a program designed to utilize our tourism industry to increase opportunities for new leaders and existing talent in the community. These are just some of the ideas you could launch in the coming fiscal year with the hope of folding any new initiatives into existing streams of our program in following years. At the end of FY20, the need for this role will be re-evaluated and determined by our long-term strategy for ongoing years.

We are looking for proven entrepreneurs with an innovative spirit. You must be somebody who is comfortable taking risks, failing along the way, and learning through the process. The goal is to create pilots that will blossom into strategic initiatives that enhance our core mission of developing the leadership of remarkable individuals to change the system of education in Las Vegas to work for all kids.

  • Engage with the team, our constituent groups (corps members and alumni), and the broader community to root innovations in the context of the Las Vegas community.
