Director, Alumni Impact Strategy

As the Director of Alumni Impact Strategy, you will play a critical role in catalyzing our alumni towards collective action with each other, students, families, and the broader community through an anti-oppression liberatory consciousness lens and culturally responsive leadership. To develop leaders ready to address the root causes of educational inequity within our community, you will develop the strategy for 2nd-year corps member (2CMs) cultivation and retention and partner with the Manager to execute, leading the design and facilitation of leadership learning series. You will manage the relationships with organizations with whom we partner on initiatives. You will launch strategic programming to catalyze our alumni leadership in education, nonprofit, social entrepreneurship & innovation, and board leadership. You will grow the alumni advisory committee into our inaugural alumni board to catalyze collective impact. You will build the infrastructure, systems, and protocols for a more seamless alumni experience. You will lead our region in setting the strategy for and executing the alumni survey. You will partner with the Manager often in working towards this vision and the Managing Director to hone systems and processes on your functional team. As a leader, you will exemplify both our TFA and Las Vegas Valley cultural values while fulfilling our mission through regional and organizational priorities. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Co-own strategy and lead execution of 2CM retention and cultivation strategy to drive CALI/NPS (success metrics)
  • Design and facilitate leadership scope and sequence for all corps learning series
  • Build District/community relationships to source job opportunities for 2CMs/Alumni
  • Craft strategy and lead execution of Education leadership pathways for 2CMs and alumni  (Aspiring School Leaders Fellowship, Breakthrough Collaborative Grants, National Boards Cohorts, speaker series etc)
  • Build strategy and lead execution of Nonprofit + Board leadership pathway and Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation pathway
  • Lead alumni Survey Strategy and execution
  • Develop strategy to share alumni survey results with Alumni and broader TFA community
  • Launch Alumni Board
  • Develop alumni team-wide robust infrastructure and systems for data management, tracking, reporting, and data quality for a more seamless and responsive alumni experience  
  • Create vision, year-long, and quarter plans for role
  • Update TFACT (Salesforce) weekly with live contact and alumni involvement
Educational Background: 
Bachelor Degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous experience launching, executing, and scaling new initiatives in non-profit, education, or similar field required
  • Previous experience with design thinking preferred
  • Previous experience coaching others preferred

Work Demands

  • Willing to work occasional weekend or evening work hours required.
  • Ability to travel to in-person meetings in various U.S. cities occasionally
