Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center seeks an interim (2-year limited tenure) Executive Director to help guide a successful transition for the organization. The Interim Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and oversees 25-30 employees and naturalists. The Executive Director will provide transitional leadership, staff development, and strategic direction to move Eagle Bluff into a new era and continue to achieve its mission to empower people to care for the earth and each other.
Eagle Bluff is a private, nonprofit residential learning center providing accredited education programs and outdoor adventures in the scenic bluff country near Lanesboro, Minnesota. Annually, approximately 20,000 people participate in Eagle Bluff’s programs that specialize in transformative educational experiences that foster a sense of respect, stewardship, and community; impart life skills such as teamwork and problem solving; increases environmental & academic literacy which align to MN state academic standards and STEM principles; and promote positive outdoor experiences to spark creativity and appreciation.
Minimum requirements include Bachelor degree, Masters preferred in education, non-profit management or related field. Also requires 10 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, successful fundraising experience, and strong familiarity (experience preferred) with residential environmental learning centers.
