The Fitness Director is responsible for developing, delivering, supervising, administering, and evaluating the wellness/fitness programs for the branch.  This includes the fitness center, group exercise, personal training and all healthy living programs.  The incumbent supervises, hires, trains and develops team members and implements activities designed to meet the specified objectives and goals of the department and Association.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide leadership and supervision to a variety of fitness/wellness programs that may include group fitness, fitness center, specialty programs, and personal training, specialty, chronic disease, and work place wellness.
  • Works closely with the Management Team on innovative approaches to implement programs, evaluate program results, establish areas for improvement and develop plus implement plans to achieve desired goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, motivate and evaluate fitness staff.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and administration skills.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to members, guests and program participants.
  • Prepare and manage department budget to assure financial and program service goals are attained.
Educational Background: 
Education and/or equivalent knowledge relating to fitness, exercise physiology, or health and wellness.  
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of management experience.
  • Minimum of three (2) years of experience working in Health and Fitness programs.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $33,000.00 - $37,000.00
