The Y’s Teen Program Director is sheriff of the Y’s wild world of teen programming (6th-12thgrade), including Late Start and After School Enrichment Programs, School Day-Off Programs, Teen Leaders Club, Teen Camps and Leader In Training program.

Programs run before/after school hours, full days when school is out with some night and weekend events. This is a full time, year-round, 40 hour per week position.
Position is salaried at the $32,000- $36,000 range plus there is a grant funded pay differential for specific duties.

- Manages, directs and coordinates program areas for assigned location(s). Ensures high quality programs and establishes new program activities. Expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals, while ensuring adequate training is delivered/completed in multiple methods including TrainingHome.
- Develops, manages and controls budgets related to the position. Ensures program operates within budget and that program fees are collected.
- Assures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
- Provides for upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports safety practices aligning with YMCA, Health Department and CDHS standards.
- Develops and maintains relationships with state child care licensing agency, school administration, parent groups and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs. Responds to all agency, parent and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Provides staff leadership for annual fund raising campaign, committees and other Board functions as assigned.
- Maintains proper records/department files, including staff training hours, as required by Human Resources and CDHS.
- Organizes and participate in Association special events. Assists in YMCA fund raising activities.
- Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information working in collaboration with the Marketing department.
- Compiles program statistics, including parent surveys. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program.

- Applicants must have an excellent understanding of Teen and pre teen development
- A minimum of two years experience in 6th-12th grade program development, staff management and community development–preferably in a state licensed program.
- Must be at least 21 years old
- At least 2 years' experience working with children in an organized setting
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, Child Abuse Prevention and YMCA Drive training within 30 days of hire date.
- Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
Salary: $32,000.00 - $36,000.00
