We are looking for a multi-talented candidate who is ready to balance their passion for working with kids and their desire to broaden their skill sets and work experience in nonprofit administrationand customer service. We are growing and anticiapate opportunities for advancement. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

From August through May, you will spend 20 hours a week as the registration specialist in our business office. You will provide the highest possible customer service and registration support to school-age and summer camp program participants, offering up wisdom on programs, registration/billing procedures, financial assistance and beyond. On top of providing exceptional customer support, you will ensure that registrations are processed in a timely manner, maintain paperwork flow, perform basic accounting procedures, handle third-party billing and help with billing and collection on accounts.

Along with your business office duties, you'll serve 20 hours per week as a role model to kids in our after-school programs. You'll become a mentor and guide as you help build a culture of fun and friendship. During the summer, this position works full-time in day camp leadership.

Educational Background: 
A four year degree in a related field
48 semester hours of college credit AND 960 hours of experience in a licensed program since turning 18
5460 hours of experience working directly with school-age childrenwith a group of 4 or more unrelated school age children.
Skills/Experience: 

Successful candidates will be hard-working, compassionate, mature problem solvers with an enthusiasm for customer service, learning new stuff, building relationships and being role models for kids and adults alike. Very successful candidates will show an unparalleled love for working at the Y and have the following credentials:

  • Be 21 years or older
  • Supply documentation of current certification or become certified in CPR and First Aid.
  • Provide 3 written references.
Compensation/Benefits:

Salary Range: $14-16/hr based on experience.
