Several opportunties exist. The program Generalist position offers the opportunity for an entry level, full time, year round position at the YMCA of Boulder Valley. Are you ready to balance a passion for working with kids and your desire to broaden your skill sets and work experience on our wellness floor, at our front desk, in our business office or in our child watch center. During the school year, our Program Generalists spend approximately 20 hours a week in after-school programs and up to 20 hours a week working in another area of our YMCA. We have several departments open. If you are hired as the school age programs and child watch position generalist, you'll consistently work in that placement through late May. During the summer, Program Generalists work full-time in our summer day camps. In August, you'll return to your original placement. Successful candidates will show an enthusiasm for customer service, learning new stuff and being a role model for kids and adults alike. Very successful candidates will show an unparalleled love for working at the Y. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Staff will provide support for family members and plan and implement daily after school activities. They will also help oversee program leaders, aides and volunteers. 
Educational Background: 
Have minimum of 48 college credits or BA/BS in related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Applicants must be a positive role model for youth and have strong leadership skills to support the staff team! Preferred must be at least 21 and provide written verification of at least 980 documented hours of experience working with children, have minimum of 48 college credits or BA/BS in related field. We can consider those who are at least 18 and provide written verification of at least 480 documented hours of experience working with children. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic individual, with a natural ability to act in a caring and responsible manner while fulfilling the expectations of the chosen department. 
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly: $13.00 - $14.00
