The La Crosse Area Family YMCA continues to grow as we are currently looking for a full-time Business Analyst. This is a combined project manager and business analyst role focusing on analytical solutions to business operation needs through the optimization of technological systems and/or process improvements. They will play a key role in the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation of applications. This role is highly collaborative and works with Finance and Operations to capitalize on opportunities for efficiency and enhanced operational effectiveness. - Lead projects to implement new software solutions, improve business process and/or support business initiatives.
- Coordinates and facilitate meetings to gather detailed requirements and specifications from users, assist in the design and development of technical solutions, and ensure technical solutions meet the user’s needs.
- Communicate and collaborate with business partners to analyze information needs and identify functional improvements to increase user efficiency.
- Create process models and specifications to provide directions to developers and/or project teams.
- Perform system setup and configuration as well as data validation.
- Establish appropriate test criteria and perform unit testing on system functionality to ensure it meets business and user requirements.
- Develop process documentation, coordinate and train users on systems and processes.
- Recommend best practices and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist as needed in the administration and/or troubleshooting of software system.
- 3+ years of professional work experience as a Business Analyst or related position, strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively challenge the status quo and drive change, strong attention to detail with effective time management and organizational skills.
Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00
