Under direction of our Director of Business Services our IT Director will provide technical support, maintenance and guidance for the Y’s internal network, software applications and desktop hardware and software.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Coordinate and manage the annual IT budget and daily operations including back-up, disaster recovery and project management.
- Assure appropriate levels of security for information systems.
- IT planning and working with other departments to leverage technology to advance the mission of the Y.
- Creating, communicating and enforcing IT policies and procedures.
- Act as the Security Officer for organization including overseeing security cameras and footage requests.
- Interact and build relationships in the community to further the mission of the Y.
- Lead/coach IT interns as needed.
Skills/Experience:
- Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related field;
- 3+ years of experience in related field or an Associate’s degree in a related field plus 5+ years of experience in a related field;
- experience managing and supporting internal networks and related hardware, software and desktop applications;
- strong verbal and written communication skills;
- security practices and systems, knowledge of current trends in IT; knowledge of network servers and operating systems, desktop hardware and software;
- prior experience with training end users preferred.
Compensation/Benefits:
This is a full time exempt position working 40+ hours per week with some possible weekend or after hours. Full benefits package included plus a free family Y membership and 12% retirement after 2 years of service.
Salary: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00
