Our search continues for our Director of Development at the La Crosse Area Family YMCA. Join us in making a difference in our community. We are seeking an experienced, successful, and passionate team player to serve as our Director of Development, providing leadership in the areas of our annual campaign, special events, donor cultivation, and endowment development. Our annual campaign provides the life-line to those individuals and families in need of a helping hand. With a current annual campaign goal of $900,000, our organization is seeking to increase this amount annually in order to meet the future needs of our community and change thousands of lives.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsibilities include providing the overall leadership for our Annual Campaign including recruiting and coaching of volunteers and staff, planning and training; provide leadership and direction to special events such as the Annual Meeting, Community Inspiration Event, and more; provide support to the organization’s capital development and fundraising efforts; as well as grant-writing, all the while embracing the Y’s cause-driven culture and continuous growth. This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the CEO and working closely with the senior level staff, board members, and trustees. 
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, non-profit management or a related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience in a non-profit organization.                      
  • Strong human relations & leadership skills.
  • Proven success in working with an annual fundraising campaign.
  • Experience working with committees, board of directors, volunteers & community partners.
  • Experience leading special events.
  • Grant writing experience.
  • Ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00
