The Senior Program Director is responsible for the overall direction and supervision of the membership and sports departments, where the focus will be on membership sales, growth, and retention. This position work closely with the branch director and other departments to help take our membership to the next level through innovative ideas; creative programming; communication of the Y mission; and developing and maintaining positive relationships with members, staff, volunteers and community leaders. Responsibilities include creating programming; hiring, training, scheduling and supervising staff; and building community partnerships.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and manage engaging Member Services team and Sports Department.      
  • Understand and train staff to fully utilize Daxko Operations, Daxko Engage, Daxko Mobile and Daxko Accounting.
  • Set and oversee budgeting for Membership and Spots Departments to include daily deposits, regular fiscal and membership reporting, vision planning and goal setting for annual budgeting, etc. 
  • Oversee Child Watch Department and supervise Child Watch Coordinator. 
  • Maintain open lines of communication with members using all tools available, including but not limited to: email (Daxko Engage), mobile app (Daxko Mobile), social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), text services, InSpot Media, etc.  Work with Association Marketing to design and implement branch program marketing. 
  • Plan and execute member engagement special events (Open House, Holiday Events, etc.). 
  • Develop and execute volunteer opportunities (Togetherhood projects, court-ordered community service, teen volunteer projects, etc.). 
  • Develop and oversee family programming through both internal Y programs (KinderHoops basketball, Leaders Club, etc.) and external community partner programs hosted at the Y (Martial Arts, Dance, Intercultural Communication, etc.).
  • Regularly evaluate member experience including acquisition, orientation, retention, volunteering, and philanthropy. 
  • Serve as a key campaigner in the Annual Campaign, fostering a sense of philanthropy through member relationship-building year-round and providing staff leadership and training in Annual Campaign. 
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, recreation, business or equivalent preferred. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must have strong membe services background. 
  • Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a Y or other nonprofit agency. 
  • Y Team Leader or Multi-team Leader certification preferred. 
  • Daxko Operations, Accounting, Engage Preferred. 
  • Fundraising experience preferred.      
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $48,000.00 - $54,000.00
