This position advances the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Assists all members on their wellness journey by engaging them in programs, behavior change, and continuous follow up resulting in members achieving results and maximized member retention.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Engage in active listening with members to develop sustainable relationships, determine individual goals and interests
- Greet, Interview and tour future members (as needed)
- Ensures new member onboarding processes are complete.
- Work closely with the Welcome Specialist to ensure all new members are scheduled for their MYFITness Appointment
- Connect members to specific programs and services; process program registration with the intent to increase member utilization of other services as needed
- Connect with current members who have not received a MYFITness Appointment and schedule accordingly
- Utilize Membership Systems, Custom Reports to assist in facilitating connection with non-users, critical and low users to increase member retention as needed
- Reach out to membership terminations to attempt to “recover” their membership propr to month’s end.
- Track and provide terms, recovery and MYFITness enrollment updates monthly to supervisor
- Review and assist with the actualizing of member satisfaction surveys and suggestion feedback
- Work closely with the Membership Director to implement, distribute and communicate all membership marketing campaigns and any member related promotions
- Assist with center and association member appreciation and recognition event(s) and program(s)
- Educate Members about our cause and our charity through active participation in Living Our Cause, the Annual Campaign and Volunteer Opportunities
- Coach members in support of their desired behavior change. Regularly checks on members’ progress in meeting personal and program goals.
- Preforms all other duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Previous Health & Wellness Experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- A team player who can develop harmonious relationships with staff, members, guests and volunteers.
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office and internet usage)
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills
- Superior conflict resolution skills, sound judgment, initiative and independent thinking
