The Cleveland County Family YMCA is looking for an energetic professional to join our Kings Mountain Family YMCA as Senior Wellness Director. The Sr. Wellness Director is responsible for the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of health and wellness programs, ensuring that all operations are in line with the Association’s strategic plans for the organization and promote the YMCA mission. Provides direct supervision of health and wellness staff teams and programs, including but limited to Personal Training, Evidence-Based Health Initiatives (EBHI), Group Exercise, Senior programs, healthy living programs, road races, and the wellness centers. The Senior Wellness Director will inspire and lead the high functioning health and wellness staff team, and will deliver excellent service to all members, guests and the community.
- Work collectively with VP, Branch Executives, Program Directors and Coordinators to provide ongoing leadership and direction to health and wellness professionals.
- Provides vision and leadership in the Association for all EBHI, Health and Wellness programs.
- Design and manage regular meeting schedule with wellness programs, Association cabinets, staff teams and volunteers.
- Instill the 5 YMCA character traits – faith, caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- Develops, manages, and monitors the Wellness operating budgets and meets or exceeds budget targets and margins.
- Maintain relationships with Y peers across the state and regions
- Represent the YMCA on appropriate community boards and task forces.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 3 to 4 years of management experience, preferably YMCA, other non-profit agency or profit wellness center.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills must have been obtained demonstrated through past job qualifications.
- Prior experience working with volunteers.
- YMCA Team Leader Certification
- Ability to present the positive image for staff, participants, colleagues, supervisors and the area.
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changing needs of community and position.
- Must be willing to work night and weekends.
Salary: $36,000.00 - $46,000.00
