Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director, the School Age Childcare Director (SACC), is responsible for providing a supportive and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The SACC Director will enhance youth development in our 7 off-site school locations within the Kennett Consolidated and Unionville-Chadds Ford school districts.  The SACC Director will provide staff leadership and supervision to full time and part time employees and have summer day camp responsibilities as well.  As a member of the branch leadership team, the Director serves as evening/weekend Director on Duty on a rotating basis.
  • The School Age Childcare Director is required to complete annual Keystone STARS training and comply with the branch's STAR level requirements.  All SACC sites are licensed by the Department of Human Services.  This position is also responsible for curriculum design, budget management and ensuring compliance with all Department of Human Services regulations.  The SACC Director will also perform other duties, as necessary.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in education or education related field or human services, required. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two years of direct supervisory experience required. 
  • Experience in childcare administration or child/youth programming preferred. 
  • Experience working with Keystone STARS and progressing through Keystone STARS levels preferred.
  • Other qualifications include strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $38,000.00
