Right now, we’re preparing to launch the Early Childhood Innovation Center that will improve the quality of early childhood programs in Missouri. We are actively seeking candidates for:
- A Project Coordinator leadership role will organize a statewide program and provide training and coaching for early childhood program administrators and family childcare owners. In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage project team operations
- Supervise team leaders
- Coordinate the process and outcomes evaluation
- Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders

- An Early Childhood Workforce Development Project Coordinator will manage an internal project team, support a project team of external stakeholders, support the project director and coordinate external meetings, activities, evaluations and reporting. In this role, you will:
- Create project goals, policies, procedures and implementation strategies
- Manage project and coordinate activities
- Supervise, mentor and guide staff
- Recruit, interview and make hiring recommendations

UMKC Institute for Human Development, University Center on Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (IHD) is an applied research and training center for human services designed to exemplify the University’s goals of engaged scholarship and community partnerships. Its functions include interdisciplinary training, applied research, community program development and information dissemination.
For the Project Coordinator leadership role, you will need the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least five years of experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood or business management best practices
- Experience managing large projects and budgets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively on a leadership team to complete tasks, meet goals and manage projects
