Kansas City, MO, USA
Full-time

Teaching is a powerful act of leadership. At Teach For America, we have a deep belief that, even in the first few years in front of students, teachers have the ability to transform the lives and education of students. We also believe that prioritizing the development of first and second year teachers is critical to our commitment to students and school partners, and that building a strong community among these groups of teachers in buildings will contribute to culture and retention in ways that have a positive impact on students in both the short and long term. This belief, coupled with partner need, has led to an expansion of this year’s single-school Beginning Teacher Assistance Program pilot. In year two, we will expand to a portfolio of 6 schools, impacting over 200 new teachers. The Manager, Beginning Teacher Assistance Program, will work in partnership with school administration at approximately three sites to develop a scope and sequence for group development across the year for new teachers, teachers new to the school site, and their in-school mentors.
