350.org is looking for an organizer to support the development of our work in the Pacific.

The Pacific Organizer will help in developing the Pacific Climate Warriors network as well as our campaigns, in pursuit of our goal to keep fossil fuels in the ground and work towards climate justice. The Pacific Organizer will work with our Pacific Campaign Specialist. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.

Skills/Experience: 
  • 2 or more years of campaign organizing, campaign strategy planning and management experiences – whether as part of a professional NGO or a grassroots group
  • Strong motivation to help to stop the fossil fuel industry by building people power
  • Ability in recruiting, organizing, training, and coaching volunteers and volunteer leaders, & managing volunteer engagement remotely
  • Ability to adapt to and juggle evolving and competing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Comfortable working independently as well as within teams
  • Ability to travel for work

Desired (but not required) skills and experiences

  • Experience developing grassroots organizational structure and capacity is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Pacific Climate Warriors Network and structures
  • Good command of English
