The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Treasury Specialist is responsible for all day-to-day treasury-related activities including cash receipts, banking, investment, and merchant services processes and standard operating procedures.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Perform positive pay duties including file uploads and make exception decisions.
- Manage and update ACH positive pay payment rules.
- Prepare treasury-related journal entries, including all supporting documentation.
- Develop custom reports and analyze monthly activity and present month-end account transactional reports.
- Initiate transfers between accounts to maintain required and recommended account balances.
- Maintain and create daily cash reports.
- Reconcile differences between deposits and reporting.
- Review, verify, and maintain fees analysis based on contracts.
- Verify and maintain third-party service provider PCI compliance.
- Perform Remote Deposit Capture upload.
- Administer and control online access to banking, investment, and merchant service platforms.
- Monitor and analyze account activity to identify unusual transactions and investigate and resolve issues.
- Assist with implementing, maintaining, and improving internal financial controls and procedures.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of internal control reviews and the audit process.
- Interact with staff in departments throughout the organization.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

- Demonstrated knowledge of banking and merchant services processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of electronic financial processes.
- Strong cash accounting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse team members and build effective working relationships with team members. Responsive, with excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking skills and analytical skills in problem solving. Able to troubleshoot, identify viable options and problem-solve.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office, especially Excel with expertise in data manipulation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Three years of experience with treasury processes.
Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business.
- Three years of experience with accounting processes.
- Three years of experience working with Great Plains.
- Three years of experience working with merchant service agreements and related transactions.
