Under the direction of Vice President of Youth Development provides leadership and management of youth development Before and Afterschool, and Summer Camps in St. Johns County. The Senior Director manages all operations of programs including budget development and expansion of offering.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develops, implements, and manages operating plans to promote program and/or programs growth for the YMCA.
- Executes strategies to ensure that members and/or program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA.
- Develops and controls department budgets related to the position.
- Hires, trains, and supervises staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Facilitates communication and provides leadership. Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions.
- Provides support to the annual fundraising campaign as assigned. Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the community.
- Assures compliance with state and local regulations. Ensures that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
- Ensures high quality participant-focused programs through innovative program development, evaluations and ongoing training of staff.
- Coordinates special events and activities.
- Provides data and reports as required for assigned programs.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- Two to five years related experience preferred, as a coordinator of people or activities.
- Ability to use typical business software and office machines.
- Understanding of the role of volunteerism within the YMCA.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $40,000.00 - $44,000.00
