The Wounded Warrior Project’s (WWP) Internal Communications Coordinator supports the WWP communications teams with the creative development of internal communications and the review of internal publications to ensure documents, presentations, emails, newsletters, and other communications are appropriate, well-written, grammatically correct, and WWP brand compliant.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Support the development and implementation of key internal communications.
- Draft and disseminate various all-staff communications.
- Support the development and implementation of leadership team communications.
- Create and format presentations for internal communications.
- Coordinate electronic and printed internal collateral logistics and distribution.
- Serve as brand ambassador and ensure compliance across internal communications with brand guidelines and standards.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain the graphics plans for Wounded Warrior Project offices.
- Develop and distribute internal newsletters.
- Compile and update biographies for the Board of Directors, executive team, and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, marketing, English, or business. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

- Strong written communication skills. Strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality deliverables while coordinating multiple projects.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; team player, ability to communicate tactfully, maturely, and to demonstrate flexibility.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
- Resourceful, well organized, dependable, and efficient.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Publisher.
- High energy level, self-starter, and willing to take initiative.
- Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.
- Mission-driven, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.
- Two years of experience working in public relations or internal corporate communications.
Preferences
- Two years of nonprofit fundraising experience
