The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Facilities Manager oversees the management of the organization’s facility locations, the vehicle fleet, and off-site storage sites across the country. The Facilities Manager leads facility management strategic planning, manages project implementations, and manages the Facilities Management team.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Oversee management of facility operations nationally ensuring proper functional operation and maintenance of the facilities for the health, safety, and welfare of all occupants.
- Oversee management of the national vehicle fleet and off-site storage facilities.
- Oversee maintenance, construction, and vendor services for facilities nationally. Collaborate with internal and external resources and establish effective working relationships.
- Ensure projects and initiatives are managed properly and efficiently, and on-time and within budget.
- Manage facilities projects, e.g., site selection, architectural needs analyses, and test fit plan. Review and approve facility projects development, e.g., budgets, resources, plans, schedules, and project close-out.
- Review requests for proposal and agreements. Evaluate vendor performance and take appropriate actions.
- Manage operating expense and capital expenditure budgets.
- Manage the organization’s real estate portfolio in collaboration with the national real estate consultant.
- Prepare reports providing updates and status of projects and communicate to senior management.
- Manage facilities team members, e.g., hiring, work allocation, training, evaluation, and conflict resolution. Motivate team members to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Identify areas for process improvement, efficiencies, cost savings, and implement solutions.
- Lead the facilities management team to identify opportunities for efficiencies across the organization.
- Lead the facilities management strategic planning process to identify opportunities to contribute to the organization’s strategic goals.
- Travel to WWP regional offices to conduct facility inspections. Address deficiencies and ensure resolutions.
- Manage capacity planning information for assigned offices. Manage internal move/add/change activities to increase office utilization and efficiencies. Manage accurate inventories of equipment and furniture assets.
- Manage security access control and camera monitoring systems.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, facilities management, construction, project management, or related field.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Five years of experience in facilities management, design, construction, or project management.
- Three years of experience managing project teams.
- Three years of leadership and management experience.
- Three years of experience managing operating and capital budget expenditures.
Preferences
- Seven years of experience in facilities management, design, or construction.
- Three years of experience in commercial real estate, lease transaction, and administration.
Certifications & Licensure
- IFMA Facilities Management Professional (FMP) preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
