The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Business Systems Analyst II is a key member IT responsible for supporting and maintaining IT solutions for WWP. The analyst will play a significant role in gathering business requirements and helping the organization create and execute user acceptance testing. With limited mentoring support, the analyst will work as a liaison between IT and our business partners in order to provide technical/business solutions to meet user needs. In addition, the analyst translates simple to intermediate high-level business/functional requirements into technical specifications for the IT organization and works with development to test and implement those changes.
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats
- Review, analyze, and critically evaluate business systems and user requests to evaluate the business need
- Research, plan, coordinate, and recommend system solutions
- Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with team and business partners to analyze information needs, functional requirements and associated deliverables
- Translate business requirements into detailed use cases and user stories
- Translate user stories into technical design requirements
- Support the business in creating and developing business cases
- Identify creative solutions to solve business challenges
- Participate in testing activities and writing test cases for QA based upon project requirements
- Recommend controls and proactively assess processes to reduce risk and identify potential future issues
- Define technical project requirements and adhere to project milestones, phases, and elements
- Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years’ relevant work experience required
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience with system analysis principles, methods, procedures, practices, and tools required
- Experience supporting Salesforce and Business Intelligence preferred
- Experience with SQL queries and SQL Reporting Services preferred
- Experience with testing, documenting test cases, and data mapping preferred
