The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Website Administrator is responsible for requirements, development, leading the administration of, and training of WWP websites. The Website Administrator is responsible for the design, testing, implementation, and administration of WWP website technologies and IT applications.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Serves as the primary developer and SME of all WWP websites
  • Partners with vendors as required
  • Partners with content manager in Marketing/Communications Department to create/update WWP websites as required in a timely manner and as approved by Communications leadership
  • Designs and develops user interfaces to web applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; develops website programs using programming languages (i.e., ASP.NET, .NET, etc.) and software development products (i.e., Microsoft Visual Studio, etc.); designing and conducting tests
  • Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality
  • Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools
  • Works with executive management to recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives
  • Works with various functions and end users to identify, document, and communicate standard business processes as they relate to WWP websites
  • Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
  • Reviews and executes ongoing web support requests and administrative needs of users
  • Develops reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
  • Works with the IT trainer to develop and update training plans, materials, and documentation for users; coordinate new user and ongoing training sessions
  • Leverage comprehensive understanding of website products and platforms to provide relevant adoption and technical recommendations on solutions and enhancements customized to WWP’s business needs
  • Processes daily requests for change and adheres to the WWP’s Change Control Process
  • Develops a trusted advisor relationship with business partners, key stakeholders, and executive sponsors such that all website activities are closely aligned with the business case and business strategy, allowing the full potential of their web solution to be realized
  • Updates job knowledge by researching new web technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related business field Equivalent experience or combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree.

  • Experience developing within ASP.NET, .NET, and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with web delivery, hosting and security technologies

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with website administration, development and/or implementation required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with SQL required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with software and hardware vendors preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with SharePoint required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with Salesforce integrations preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with Umbraco preferred
