Wounded Warrior Project’s (WWP) Warriors to Work Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the Warriors to Work (WtoW) program.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for management of Warriors to Work staff nationwide
- Identify and implement cutting edge and high-touch services for warriors seeking employment
- Manage and assist with resume building, interview skills, job placement for warriors
- Serve as the public face of the organization’s warrior employment program
- Build operational partnerships with entities that will lead to wounded warriors finding employment opportunities
- Provide direction and assistance to wounded warriors who seek and who are ready for fulltime employment, internships, and structured training opportunities
- Track and report on successful and unsuccessful placements
- Track and report other relevant statistics providing insight into the utilization and success of the operation of the W2W program
- Act as an ambassador to corporations interested in hiring wounded warriors – uncovering opportunities, identifying and overcoming barriers, and managing the expectations of potential employers
- Respond in a timely manner to wounded warriors, corporate queries, and WWP reporting requirements
- Collaborate with WWP’s Alumni program to inform warriors of WWP’s employment program and of potential employment opportunities
- Make public presentations about WWP and its W2W program to grow the initiative and to publicize the program to enhance potential corporate and employer support
- Provide after actions reports on presentations, projects, and other events
- Manage the program’s budget and assist in the development of future budgets to ensure adequate program control and growth
- Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree required

- Ability to establish professional relationships for the purposes of establishing and maintaining a WWP presence
- Ability to manage and continue to develop and grow the Warriors to Work program
- Ability to motivate staff and be accountable for key performance indicators
- Ability to provide high quality customer services to all relevant stakeholders
- Represent WWP in a professional manner
- High energy level, comfortable performing multiple tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities, self-starter willing to take initiative
- A team player with exceptional interpersonal skills able to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner
- Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of common business applications and programs
- Assist in developing and implementing program impact measurement tools/protocol
- Willing to Travel 25% - 50% of the time
Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum eight (8) years of direct staff management experience required
- Three (3) years of related experience required
