The Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) Marketing Specialist provides thought leadership and marketing strategy to all program teams and manages the creative development and production process for marketing collateral supporting program events and other program initiatives directed to warriors, their family members, and caregivers.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Work collaboratively with communications teammates to develop and implement marketing and communications strategy for WWP programs
  • Lead creative development, design, production, and printing of program marketing materials
  • Work closely with the Information Technology team to enhance ease of program access for warriors, family members, and caregivers through electronic communications and processes
  • Determine new ways to maintain, develop, or enhance warrior and family member engagement in new or existing WWP programs
  • Develop and manage timelines for the production of marketing materials, such as brochures, directories, and other collateral
  • Coordinate electronic and printed program marketing collateral logistics and distribution
  • Create program content for WWP website
  • Maintain a consistent look, feel, and voice in program marketing collateral
  • Collaborate and manage rapport with internal clients and external creative agencies and vendors to ensure project success
  • Create and format PowerPoint presentations for use as internal communication or external program marketing material, as needed
  • Serve as leading brand ambassador and ensure compliance across the organization with brand guidelines and standards
  • Participate in programs in the community to observe marketing effectiveness and provide additional program marketing ideas and support
  • Support, attend, or participate in WWP programs and community-based activities, as needed
  • Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, marketing, business, or English is required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of related business and/or marketing experience required
  • Strong project management experience preferred
