The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Marketing Manager will initiate, lead, and direct the creative development, production, and distribution for all Wounded Warrior Project marketing efforts.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Provide thought leadership to marketing teammates and WWP teams
- Provide expertise across all departments, for understanding the business objectives and translating these to communication objectives
- Collaborate with the director on the development and implementation of marketing plans
- Collaborate with the director and other teams on the development of integrated media plans
- Develop compelling creative briefs
- Lead the agency team in the creative development, production, and execution of communications across all media platforms
- Perform creative analysis to improve future efforts
- Direct the distribution of collateral materials in most cost efficient manner
- Train and manage marketing coordinators and specialists to support all WWP teams
- Develop coordinators and specialists to achieve their fullest professional potential
- Manage project budgets
- Serve as WWP brand thought leader and brand standards expert
- Serve as a brand ambassador internally and externally
- Ensure defined departmental goals are achieved
- Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or related field is required
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year direct staff management experience preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of marketing or advertising agency experience required
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience with the use of Microsoft Office and Mac software programs required
- Nonprofit experience preferred
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse personalities
- Demonstrate thought leadership on marketing matters
- Develop compelling communication platforms
- Strong creative instincts and judgment
- Lead development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns or efforts
- Relationship builder, team player
- Very strong project management skills required with keen attention to details
