Wounded Warrior Project’s (WWP) Corporate Partnerships Specialist will be responsible for researching, developing, cultivating, bringing on and maintaining relationships/sponsorships with corporate partners. The Strategic Partnerships Specialist will oversee project management, stewardship and daily responsibilities for partners. The SPS will work cross channels to maximize the relationship between the corporate partner and WWP.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Identify, develop and sign new corporate partners to garner financial support, increase awareness/education and engage programmatically with WWP
  • Oversee requests, leads, and contacts and engage accordingly
  • Manage current partner portfolio and maximize relationship to meet objectives for partner and WWP
  • Ability to work extensively with multiple internal teams and external teams as it relates to the partner
  • Management of all projects between WWP and corporate partners
  • Sell WWP programs/services to various levels of leadership within companies and asking for the support required
  • Create and maintain professional network on behalf of Wounded Warrior Project
  • Leverage corporate relationships to engage individual donors, foundations and employees by working cross channels internally
  • Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High energy level, self-starter willing to take initiative and motivate others
  • Ability to identify a gap in support and target specific companies to meet this need
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to translate conversations to meet the needs of partners
  • A team player with exceptional interpersonal skills able to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner
  • Goal oriented, resourceful, well organized, dependable, and efficient
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and managing a budget
  • High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office program
  • High level of comfort with public speaking and working with various levels of leadership
  • Proven ability to raise money and gifts-in-kind
  • Proven ability to create a presentation and pitch WWP to various companies
  • Thorough understanding of development and cause marketing “best practices”
  • Ability to work across different teams towards a common goal and ensure deadlines from all teams are met
  • Ability to travel as needed

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in fundraising and/or sales required
  • Account management experience preferred
