The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Application Administrator is a key member of the IT team responsible for delivering and maintaining world class solutions for WWP. The administrator works closely with WWP teams to ensure proper requirements are gathered for tool templates and user access.  The administrator also supports WWP teammates in administering WWP tools. The position also creates and runs reports to track usage of the tool, as well as in support of audits. The administrator performs audits and communicates results on a quarterly basis.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage user permissions and security
  • Educate/train users regarding application features and business processes/policies
  • Gather requirements for business requests and solution based on application features and business processes/policies
  • Knowledgeable of application releases and downtime, and effectively communicates relevant information to WWP constituent
  • Monitor the application, document and analyze problems, and publish maintenance schedule
  • Maintain system documentation
  • May program in a variety of tools
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve any reported problems
  • Enable best practices with current applications
  • Automate business processes utilizing tools
  • Collaborate with IT Operations teams to ensure proper integration of the environment
  • Work closely with application development teams and vendors to tune and troubleshoot applications
  • Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
  • Leads and participates in efforts to implement application updates to include upgrades, patches, and new releases
  • Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs
  • Develop work plans and track/report status of assigned projects/tasks
  • Liaise with vendor support on issues
  • Fully responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
  • Daily monitoring and maintenance activities
  • Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business systems, computing, metrics, or other related field

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience required
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization, preferred
  • Experience with developing process and procedure documentation preferred
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%
