Outstanding opportunity for self-starter with strong project management skills to be part of the Indiana State Alliance team working to enhance the relevancy and sustainability of Indiana YMCAs.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the YMCAs that comprise the Indiana State Alliance of YMCAs (Alliance).

  • Primary responsibilities include: to coordinate, execute and promote Alliance events and meetings with the intended outcome to inform, educate, engage and connect staff and volunteers in Indiana; implementing assigned strategic planning and board development activities; provide administrative support to the CEO, and coordinate key communications from the Alliance office.
  • Additional duties include accounts receivable, assembly of annual community benefit report, developing surveys and other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
A bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership, communication or related field required, or experience equivalent. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of three years of experience in project management role. 
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of effectively driving process improvement, multitasking and a high attention to detail. 
  • Must be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, proactive in approach, and possesses problem solving and analytical skills to successfully manage issues that have no precedent. 
  • Possesses excellent writing and oral communication skills, with outstanding interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. 
  • Has the ability to work in a collaborative work environment, in a team atmosphere where everyone contributes equally. 
  • Computer proficiency using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); technical proficiency with web-based platforms, learning and/or organizational development software and mobile solutions. 
  • Highly motivated and innovative with ability to work both independently and as a team. 
  • Has the ability to travel as work dictates (anticipated to be 10-15%) or as assigned by the CEO of the Alliance. 
  • Familiarity with the YMCA movement, culture, mission, and purpose. A strong commitment to the mission of the YMCA and its core values.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $33,566.05 - $41,957.56
