Under the direct supervision of the Center Executive Director, the Director of Business Services is responsible for membership, accounting and administrative functions of the Avondale Meadows YMCA.  This includes, but is not limited to, functions of program registration and membership enrollment, processing of employment forms and bi-weekly payroll, and ensuring quality member service by center department staff. 

Educational Background: 
BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting or related area, or its equivalent in related professional experience. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • The incumbent will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of management experience including supervisory responsibility
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable of business, personnel and management practices, and be technologically literate with the ability to troubleshoot computer programs and hardware issues for the Center. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to be successful in this position. 
  • Candidate must possess the ability to be tactful, mature, flexible, resourceful and well organized to resolve issues with staff and members. 
  • Candidate must also understand both the importance of providing excellent member service and their role in building relationships/small communities with members.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required training, including CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $37,353.00 - $46,691.00
