Under the direction of the Senior Director of Community Health, the Associate Director of Evidence Based Health Initiatives (EBHI) is primarily responsible for the management and supervision of the EBHI service line.

Areas of Responsibility: 

This position will provide center support including: program fidelity, data collection, recruitment and enrollment, and staff/schedule management.

Educational Background: 
This position requires a BA/BS degree in Wellness, Exercise Science, Health Promotion/Public Health, Health/Physical Education or a related field, or its equivalent in experience,
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1-2 years experience in YMCA/similar agency and a strong commitment to the YMCA philosophy and values.
  • Additional education/certification and or related experience in the area of Adapted Programming and a national certification (ACSM, NSCA, or ACE) a plus.
  • Must be able to stay current with trends in the field. 
  • Well defined administration skills and proven abilities in the areas of personnel management (hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating), grant management, program planning, budgeting, conflict resolution, public relations, record-keeping average skills in Microsoft Office Suite required. 
  • Must have skills in one-on-one coaching/assessments, group facilitation, consensus-building and communication.
  • The position requires continual pursuit of further education in the areas of exercise science, wellness, supervision, and member service. 
  • Must have or the ability to obtain required training and certification, including but not limited to YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Principles, Evidence Based Health Initiative instructor, CPR and First Aid.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $33,566.05 - $41,957.56
