Administer and oversee statistical reporting and analysis, data cleansing and manipulation, mailing list management, and donor/prospect research and relationship management all as they relate to the philanthropic mission of the YMCA.  Work closely with staff throughout the Association to ensure proper use of the donor database and to advance the Association’s ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors effectively. Position may virtually support another YMCA Association.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Raiser’s Edge donor database and records.
  • Provide primary technical support for Raiser’s Edge application software.
  • Provide training, support and problem resolution for all system users.  Assist in the development of and implementation of center training on system.
  • Coordinate with IT Department software needs and integration with other organizational systems.
  • Work with Business Systems department to coordinate the recording of gifts to align with the reporting practices of accounting, to provide regular reports to the Business Office and to reconcile any discrepancies between reports on an ongoing basis.
  • Serve as liaison with Raiser’s Edge and communicate updates and enhancements to all users.
  • Work with members of the development staff to identify and provide solutions for their information needs.  Participate in systems-related program planning for annual giving, major giving, planned giving, campaign and any other programs as determined by the Chief Development Officer.
  • Participate in prospect identification and research in support of major gift fundraising.
  • Establish and maintain donor acknowledgement processes.
  • Work with the development leadership staff to develop policies and procedures to assure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of constituent information, gifts and records.
  • Develop an annual plan and objectives for the systems area.
  • Ensure integrity of data and records, deleting duplicate records, appropriate coding, etc.  Audit data entry for errors or incorrect codes.
  • Design and execute database queries to compile reports as requested.
  • Support center and department initiatives related to Annual Giving goals.
  • Develop and implement research, evaluation, and analysis plans to drive ongoing improvement in donor prospecting and asks. 
  • Provide center staff training to encourage and support the users’ needs.
  • Serve as moves manager, targeting prospects for personal visits and moving annual donors through the donor pyramid into the next giving level.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two to three years of experience working with a complex database, with donor database experience preferred.
  • Must possess knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills- both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and relate well to a diverse group of members, donors, staff, and others while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Aptitude for management and effective use of information systems in support of a development program.
  • Must be able to work in an environment of constant demands and frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and evenings and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to travel between Y facilities.
  • Ability to work with a positive attitude as part of a team.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00
