The YMCA of Greater Houston is currently seeking an experienced Center Exectuive Director for the D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA.
The D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA at Cypress Creek is seeking a dynamic, cause-driven leader to serve as the Center Executive Director leading a diverse staff team that includes a Director of Operations. The McWilliams YMCA was devastated by Hurricane Harvey but went through a major renovation and reopened in March 2019. The campus includes 3 buildings, a large wellness area, functional fitness space, dedicated cycle studio, mind/body studio, group exercise rooms, 2 pools, large child-watch program area, childcare building and many acres of fields, trails, ropes courses and an outdoor pavilion.This $4.7MMY currently serves over 5,000 membership units and has the potential to grow to $5MMin 2020. To support the work in the community, this Y raises $220,000 annually
- Coordinates the development of the Center Board and committees. Directs the volunteer activities (policy and program) of the center.
- Directs the financial development activities of the center.
- Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
- Oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of staff.
- Develops, manages, and monitors the center operating budget and meet or exceeds budget targets.
- Directs strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the center.
- Develops and directs high-quality member engagement strategies and programs which support center and Association mission, goals, and strategies.
- Ensures the safety and maintenance of high-quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Directs center marketing and communication efforts.
- Serves as a member of YMCA management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
- Six or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other not-for-profit agency.
- Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of center budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
- Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- YMCA Multi-Team or Center Leader certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00
