The YMCA of Honolulu is one of the largest non-profit organizations in the state.

Directs and supports the development and operations of a large youth department. Programs and services include: 6 A+ sites, Summer Camps, Pre-school, Sports and Teen programs. Ensures that strategic and tactical goals of the Association are met. Reports directly to the VP/Branch Executive.

Areas of Responsibility:

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required or related field preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Requires understanding of group work process, program and staff development, skilled in general management and communications.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Windows XP and Power Point/LCD machine.
  • Must be people-oriented, possess strong management and supervisory skills, be well organized and multi-task oriented.
  • Knowledge of program fiscal management.
  • Ability to train staff and volunteers.
  • Knowledge of childcare for children 3-15 years of age.
  • Able to be CPR/AED and First Aid trained.
  • Five years minimum experience in program planning and supervising of staff and volunteers.
  • Five years minimum experience working in child care, youth and teen programs and/or activities.
  • Experience in working with training and developing volunteers.
  • Experience in developing and creating programs.
  • General office operations experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean traffic abstract.
  • TB test required.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00
