Specific Duties:
- Oversee all MLSA finances, including payroll, accounts payable, invoicing, and reimbursements.
- Oversee the finance department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions.
- Supervise the Deputy Director of Finance and Benefits & Payroll Manager.
- Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets.
- Develop financial business plans and forecasts.
- Develop short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree; a CPA and/or MBA would be a plus.
- At least five years of experience as a Finance Director/CFO or equivalent, preferably in a nonprofit organization with a budget of at least $5 million.
- Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
- Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the Office of Management & Budget Uniform Guidance.
The Position: We’re looking for a Director of Finance to be based in MLSA’s Helena office. The pay range is $85,000-$105,000, depending on experience.
- MLSA has a full-time, 35 hour work week.
- MLSA offers company-paid health, dental, vision and life insurance; an educational loan repayment assistance program; a 403(b) retirement plan; and eligibility for a health reimbursement or health savings account with a yearly contribution from MLSA in the amount of $1,600 (prorated by start date).
- We also offer a generous paid leave package, including annual leave, sick leave, and a wellness leave program.
- And if you move from another town in Montana to join us, we offer up to $500 for relocation reimbursement (or $1,000 if you move from out of state).
