The Project & Content Manager is an experienced project manager/implementer and multi-platform content creator able to write creatively and with journalistic rigor to a variety of audiences. Part of a collaborative five-person team, (4 in Florida, 1 in Georgia), this position is based in the West Palm Beach office. This position not only manages departmental projects, publications and dashboards, but contributes content to multiple platforms. The Project & Content Manager will support multiple priorities including team operations and communications, brand compliance, project coordination, budget tracking, events management, corporate partnerships and multimedia support.

The Project & Content Manager will be responsible for managing complex projects from inception to tracking the budget and reporting results. Working with multiple team members across the department and organization, s/he will develop content for supporter communications, collateral, newsletters and other vehicles that showcase our successes, underscore our positions and inspire others to action. S/he will provide research support and manage creative and production processes for the team while analyzing current operations for efficiency. S/he will facilitate events and promotions, membership initiatives, corporate partnerships and on-going communication between all parts of the global marketing division, as well as internal and external stakeholders. S/he will identify process and opportunities within purview and run departmental meetings. The Project & Content Manager reports to the Director of Communications & Strategic Marketing for Florida and Georgia, and may oversee outside contractors and interns. Some travel required.

Areas of Responsibility: 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

The Project & Content Manger coordinates cross-platform marketing projects and supports the team through creative brief and project management protocols tracking progress and implementing improved procedures. S/he reports findings, manages the dashboards and demonstrates a strict attention to detail and deadlines. S/he makes recommendations for process improvement, is well organized and has the ability to research, write and produce compelling content across media platforms.

• Ability to create and manage timelines, deadlines, department calendars, budgets, approval process
• Ability to analyze current process and recommend efficiencies
• Demonstrated ability to conceive and write creatively, edit and proofread
• Ability to create clean, contemporary design: Power Point, template newsletters, reports
• Familiarity with social media and techniques for maximizing engagement
• Ability to organize and evaluate events and promotions
• Ability to manage internal and external relationships.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE 

• Responsibility and accountability for meeting assigned project goals and objectives.
• Serves as team lead on assigned marketing and/or media initiatives.
• Project management: (60%)

  • Coordinates projects, creates production schedules and manages deadlines
  • Provides operational support to the team through administrative systems, obtaining rights for photos/videos and implementing department procedures or policies that streamline work and keep projects on track.
  • Manages publication content and production
  • Creates and manages a departmental calendar
  • Develops and manages (with digital marketing specialist) a robust photo, video and content library (archive)
  • Supports development of marketing campaigns, presentations and collateral
  • Oversees logo, name and style compliance
  • Schedules and coordinates team meetings, prepares agendas in consultation with director, prepares and distributes meeting minutes and action items
  • Manages contracts

• Content production (40%)

  • Researches and writes supporter and other communications including website and social media
  • Writes, edits and designs organizational communications
  • Designs and writes stakeholder presentations
Skills/Experience: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Experience in project management; organizing and coordinating projects
• Experience cultivating and managing internal & external relationships
• Experience writing, editing and proofreading
• Experience in relevant technology needed for communications and constructing reports/presentations
• Experience in strategic planning and dashboard management

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
• Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
• Experience leading or managing complex projects and knowledge of project management principles.
• Solid knowledge of marketing and journalistic principles.
• Demonstrated ability to conceive and write creatively for various audiences from technical information. 
• Ability to work in a team-based environment with internal and external partners.
• Ability to embrace change.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail. 
• Familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign, and experience in editing within these programs. Video editing a plus.
• Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in relevant discipline.
