Works under the supervision of the Finance Region Director to manage and support chapter level financial operations including; accounts payables, cash receipting, monthly reporting, GL maintenance and special projects.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Manage chapter level accounts payable processing:

  • Review payment request forms  for completeness and adherence to Association policies
  • Enter invoices into the Sage  500 accounting database in an accurate and timely manner
  • Procure w-9 s & new vendor  set up forms
  • Maintain accounts payable  electronic and paper files I a neat & organized manner
  • Handle vendor inquires as they  arise and reconcile vendor account balances
  • Educate and coach chapter staff  on proper GL coding and general AP policies
  • Prepare 1099 forms on an annual  basis

Manage Chapter level cash and check receipts:

  • Input  cash receipt information into Sage500 database
  • Process  cash receipts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain  understanding of GL account codes and code receipts correctly
  • Maintain  paper and e-files in a neat and organized manner.
  • Assist  in annual audit

General Ledger maintenance & monthly reporting:

  • Prepare  the monthly revenue report in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare  the bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile  assigned GL accounts
  • Manages  the Chapters Sage 500 database and associated Chapter GL accounts

Other duties as assigned:

  • Grants  financial management support
  • Participate  in Chapter wide activities, such as; Walk fundraisers, meetings and  events.
  • Maintain  knowledge of Associations financial policies, procedures and systems and  educate Chapter staff as needed
  • Assures compliance with all  Chapter and National policies, procedures, standards and applicable  regulatory requirements and initiatives.
  • Special projects
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred; or equivalent work experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, databases and knowledge of basic office machines
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
