The Great Miami Valley YMCA is looking for a Cause-Driven, growth focused leader to direct and oversee day to day operations to our Atrium Family YMCA. The Atrium Family Branch is a family branch with an operations budget of $2.5 million, employing approximately 85 staff. Membership revenue represents  $1.3M, currently serving 1573 membership units, serving 6235 individuals. Child care operations represents $1.2 M, currently serving approximately 150 children daily.  Atrium is located on the Atrium Medical Center campus in Franklin, OH.  The branch enjoys a blend of AOA’s, corporate business members, and families. Proven successful track record in comparable fiscal management including the growth of revenue dollars and the execution of innovative programming in the areas of membership, child care, wellness, youth sports and/or aquatics; resulting in a greater impact to members. S/he must be a leader in the community; attending social events and representing the Y core values, mission and cause. The incumbent is responsible for recruiting key community leaders and board members; creating and implementing a well-conceived development/fund-raising plan to achieve short and long term objectives, and will lead the initiative by marshaling the resources of the board, soliciting private donations and high-level donors and funders (individuals, corporations and foundations).

The incumbent must have superior communication skills; with the ability to easily cultivate key relationships and build rapport with a variety of stakeholders. A key objective is to expand the capacity of operational performance to educate and better serve the community by engaging individuals in the Y’s three areas of focus: healthy living, social responsibility and youth development. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
  • Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the selected candidate oversees the total operation of the Atrium Family branch, including branch leadership, volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies.
  • Candidates must demonstrate successful experience in project management, staff supervision/training, program development, fiscal management, volunteer development, board development, and fundraising.  
  • The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills along with a proven track record of staff development, community partnerships, program supervision and fundraising, and innovative thinking and change capacity.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in administration, human services, social services, business or equivalent
Skills/Experience: 
  • YUSA Organizational Leader Status preferred
  • 3 or more years of management experience in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency 
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $61,000.00 - $70,000.00
