The Greater Green Bay YMCA's 21C programs can best be described as an extension of the school day, offering students who may be dealing with issues such as poverty, homelessness, poor hygiene, and language barriers a safe and fun environment where Y staff help them grow and thrive in academics, social skills, and emotional development. As the 21C Site Director at Doty Elementary School, you are responsible for overseeing a safe, engaging, and educational environment in collaboration with the school district and staff, the YMCA, and the parents and approximately 100 children served by the 21C after-school program. This is accomplished through building collaborative relationships, meeting 21C grant requirements, delivering creative programming, and leading a staff and volunteers to deliver quality programming.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, Y staff and school administrators is essential to the success of this role and the 21C program.
- Proven behavioral management skills are key, along with the ability to teach these skills to team members.
- Minimum of 6 months working with large groups of school-age children required.
- Must possess strong organizational, leadership and administrative skills.
- Experience working with economically disadvantaged children with diverse backgrounds is strongly preferred.
- Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Conversational Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
- As a safety responder, the ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, move quickly, and/or lift at least 20 pounds will be necessary.
Salary & Benefits: $34,000 (11 months) negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include Medical, Dental and Life insurance, PTO and holiday pay, a generous 11% retirement contribution upon eligibility, STD/LTD, free Household membership and program discounts.
