Exciting opportunity for experienced aquatic professional to develop and expand program offerings in a state of the art aquatics facility.

Develop and expand program offerings in an impressive indoor 50-meter facility with separate 25-yeard warm water pool. Experience in lifeguarding, swim lesson, water exercise and competitive aquatics is essential.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide full oversight of the entire aquatic department including lifeguard scheduling, swim lessons and water exercise as well as innovative programming to meet the needs of the community.
  • Provide supervision of Full-time Competitive Swimming Coach. Some swim coaching experience, a plus.
  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate all departmental staff.
  • Explore value added programming opportunities to maximize this incredible facility resource.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Current Lifeguarding certificate required. Lifeguard Instructor preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in an aquatic atmosphere.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience as a lifeguard, swim instructor with competitive coaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to relate well to children, to communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain positive relations with members staff, and Y leadership.
  • Enthusiasm, high energy and exceptional human relations and motivational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinion, and perceptions
  • Must have experience developing, managing and exceeding fiscal budget expectations.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $37,000.00 - $47,000.00
