The Allard Center YMCA located in Goffstown, NH is seeking a dynamic individual to oversee our Teen and Sports program. This position requires high energy, the ability to keep up in a fast paced work environment but most of all a passion for strengthening the community through youth and teen development! 

Responsible for the management, development and implementation of teen & youth programs, providing age-appropriate instruction & support. Direct oversight of middle school after school program, Teen Zone. Responsible for each participant’s health, safety and participation in all aspects of the program. This responsibility requires enthusiasm, humor, patience, creativity, energy, maturity and focus on a continual basis. The Director will also oversee the related program initiatives for cultivating Youth Development; promoting and creating programs to encourage Healthy Living with an emphasis and Social Responsibility.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for Leaders Club, GHSAE, Teen Nights, Teen Zone (after school program), Camp Half Moon directorship and program development (including sports) for youth and teens.
  • Responsible for reviewing database to determine whether the class has enough participants to run.
  • Provide quality instruction/skill development and knowledge of teen/youth, sport/recreation programs. Responsible for equipment set up and break down.
  • Exhibit leadership in setting a positive tone and attitude in all aspects of the job.
  • Monitor, supervise participants and ensure their safety and security at all times
  • Responsible for building relationships with parents & participant through ongoing communication.
  • Hire and train necessary program instructors
  • Provide coverage for all assigned staff in their absence.
  • Facilitate the completion of program evaluations as scheduled.
  • Assist with monitoring/inventory supplies, equipment and report supply needs.
  • Help develop ways to promote character development
Educational Background: 
Must have Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must have the capability to instruct or lead a variety of sports and games for a varied level of skill ability
  • Must have current CPR and First Aid certifications or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $35,000.00 - $39,000.00
