The Granite YMCA - Allard Center is currently seeking a full-time Teen and Sports Director. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, development, and implementation of teen and youth programs providing age appropriate instruction and support. Responsible for each participant's health, safety, and participation in all aspects of the program. This position requires enthusiasm, humor, patience, creativity, energy, maturity, and focus on a continual basis. The director will also oversee the related program initiatives for cultivating Youth Development; promoting and creating programs to encourage Healthy Living with an emphasis in Social Responsibility. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for Leaders Club, GHSEA, Teen Nights, MVMS after school program, Camp Halfmoon directorship and program development (including sports) for youth and teens. 
  • Reviewing database to determine whether the class has enough participation to run. 
  • Print roster each session and taking attendance at each class. 
  • Provide quality instruction/skill development and knowledge of teen/youth, sport/recreation programs. 
  • Exhibit leadership in setting a positive tone and attitude in all aspects of the job. 
  • Responsible for equipment set up and breakdown. 
  • Monitor, supervise participants and ensure their safety and security at all times. 
  • Must be familiar with all emergency procedures and protocols. 
  • Responsible for building relationships with parents and participants through ongoing communication. 
  • Hire and train necessary program instructors. 
  • Provide coverage for all assigned staff in their absence. 
  • Facilitate the completion of program evaluations as scheduled. 
  • Help develop ways to promote character development. 
  • Work with staff to keep all areas clean and comply with safety policies. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must have or being willing to become CPR/First aid certified with in 60 days of hire. Must complete child abuse prevention training as well as any other assigned trainings relevant to the position.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $29,000.00 - $35,000.00
