We are looking for an energetic, dedicated team member who is passionate about youth development in a school-age childcare environment.

Develops, organizes and implements high-quality YMCA Afterschool programs. Works in alignment with the YUSA afterschool Standards, Program Quality Standards, and cognitive development of school-age children. Directs all outreach programs for the association in regards to grants obtained and outcomes achieved. (HEPA and CDLI)

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manages, directs and coordinates the school age child care programs for the Warlick Family YMCA. Ensures high quality programs and establishes new program activities. Expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  • Develops, manages and controls budgets related to the position. Ensures program operates within budget and that program fees are collected.
  • Directs and implements all programming and grant outcomes for the Healthy Eating and Physical Activity program (HEPA) and Character Development Learning Institute (CDLI) through coaching, mentoring, and monitoring quality and programming.
  • Oversee and implement Outreach programs for the branch.
  • Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
  • Provides for upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports healthy living.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with school administration, parent groups and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs. Responds to all parent and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Provides staff leadership for annual fundraising campaign and committees as assigned.
  • Maintains proper records/department files.
  • Assists with all family events for the members of the Warlick Family YMCA
  • Organizes special events for parents.
  • Assists with Program Committee meetings.
  • Works with the Director of Advancement in the marketing and distribution of program information.
  • Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of, and participation in program.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
Skills/Experience: 
  • One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of childcare programs.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Required trainings within 60 days of hire: Child Abuse Prevention, CPR/AED First Aid; Bloodborne Pathogens, New Employee Orientation
  • Required to get CDL within 6 months of hire date.
  • Fulfillment of state-specific hiring standards
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of 
  • the community.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $32,000.00 - $36,000.00
