Candidate will oversee all branch decision making and operations. This includes leading fiscal management, community engagement, volunteer & team development, property management, membership and program services. The focus of the job is managing the total operations of the facility and providing hands-on leadership to the Program Directors, helping the Membership Director to drive membership and working closely with the Property Manager. The Director must maintain effective communication and collaborations with members, staff, volunteers, community agencies and leaders. The Director will work closely with the Association staff (CEO & CFO) to insure consistency for the movement of the YMCA.
- Provides support and leadership to the Branch Board of Directors as its executive officer, implements its policies, plans and directives, and reports to the Board on matters affecting the welfare of the Branch.
- Acts as a resource to the Board and its committees on policy development, planning and financial development and helps Board members understand and appreciate their role and responsibilities.
- Provides branch leadership to the organization’s philanthropic efforts, maximizing community partnerships, engaging volunteers, and cultivating and soliciting top donors and community leaders.
- Recruits, trains, hires, develops, evaluates and directs Branch staff.
- Work closely with Association Staff to monitor the progress of the Association and branch operations, training plan, grants, foundation requests, United Way proposals, marketing & communications and overall objectives.
- Develops, manages and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and submits reports on current operations.
- Assist Membership Director with high quality member engagement strategies and programs which support branch and Association mission, goals and strategies.
- Oversees the ranch facilities and equipment for cleanliness and risk management.
- Represents and promotes all YMCA-related, city-wide events as well as local programs, special classes and other events.
- Any other work deemed necessary by the CEO or Association staff.
- Ability to meet requirements of YMCA of the USA for Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader.
- Must be current in CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Current driver’s license with acceptable record and vehicle liability insurance.
- Must possess a cooperative spirit committed to character development by promoting and demonstrating caring, honesty, respect and responsibility to staff, lay leaders, YMCA members, program participants and general public.
- Knowledge of the rules and organization of all programs in sports, fitness, aquatics, child care and family.
- Ability to communicate well with staff, volunteers and program participants.
- Physically able to move freely throughout the facility and other program sites and to lift 50 pounds.
- The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
- Must have mental ability to remember names.
- Must be able to speak clearly and articulate accurate information.
Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00
