Early Learning Center Childcare Director

The Early Childhood Director will be responsible for maintaining compliance with DCFS regulations including child to staff ratios.  The Director will also be responsible for overall health and well-being of the children attending the child care center.  The Director will oversee child care staff and be responsible for weekly schedules.  The Director will developactivity programming for teh children adn direct staff on how to carry out activities. 

Educational Background: 
To be qualified, the Director must have an Associate's Degree within 21 hours in Early Childhood Education and/or child development classes.
Skills/Experience: 
  • A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day. 
  • Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers adn create a dynamic environment where play adn discover go hand-in-hand.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • CPR and First Aid Certificiation or willingness to obtain
  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
  • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage with physical activity with children.

Required Certifications

  • Associate's Degree within 21 hours in Early Childhood Education and/or child development classes.
Compensation/Benefits: 

$28,000.00 - $32,000.00
