The Aquatics Director provides leadership and management for the Aquatics Department operations, staff, budget, swim lessons, Lifeguards as well as program and membership experience. This is a full-time positions with benefits
Areas of Responsibility:
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate all aquatic staff
- Conduct in-service training
- Help develop, implement, track and control department budget
- Review program schedules, capacity stafffing and revenues to meet community needs and Y mission
- Serve as a role model
- responsible for recertification before expiration
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree required or working on it
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a supervisory/management position
- YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard certification or equivalent
- Current swim lesson Trainer or acquire within 90 days of hire
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Current Lifeguard Trainer or acquire within 90 days of hire
