We have a great opportunity for someone with Membership Services experience and is looking to be a part of a growing, dynamic YMCA Team!

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Implements membership strategies and support recruitment of new members and retention of existing members. Creates member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions.  Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs staff and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance.  Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  • Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members. 
  • Participates in the creation and planning of the annual budget; manages and implements the approved budget for membership and takes appropriate action to correct variances.
  • Ensures proper implementation of front desk procedures.  Reviews and updates desk procedures and communicates changes to staff. 
  • Organizes membership events at the YMCA and represents the YMCA at community events to promote the YMCA.
  • Schedules regular meetings to keep all staff current on policy and procedures of the Association and any program updates, pricing and membership rates.
  • Oversees and supervises front line staff and Membership Coordinators.  Oversees scheduling staff for all shifts of operation to ensure consistency and competence
  • Develop and monitor membership statistics every month, evaluating member feedback and working on member retention.
  • Work with the Administrative Team while coordinating with the Branch Executive in any areas that need assistance
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Three - Five years related experience preferred
  • Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR; First Aid; AED; Oxygen.
  • Fulfillment of state-specific hiring standards and completion of Redwoods Training and YMCA program specific certifications. 
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Excellent command of computers (i.e., Microsoft Office, databases like Daxco)
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00
