The Teen and Asst. Camp Director is responsible for operational planning, promotion, program development and overall leadership programs for teens in the Franklin YMCA service area. The ability to develop community partnerships is a key part of this position. This position will also have responsibility to assist the Camp Director in the planning and operation of our summer day camp serving up to 500 campers daily. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Key responsibilities include the following:
  • Teen Department programming
  • Act as Asst. Camp Director for the branch's summer camp programs
  • Coordinate and run the Leader's Club and Jr. Leader's Club
  • Work with the teen group to ensure participation in the New England Rally and New England Leader's School planning and implementation
  • Work with the Outdoor Education department to play a role in the Outdoor Ropes Course and Adventures in Respect 
Educational Background: 
a bachelors degree in a related field is preferred.
Skills/Experience: 

Two years of directly related experience. Prior experience and a commitment to working with teens is essential. This position also requires excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to create new programs and create community partnerships. The position may require a flexible schedule which includes nights and weekends. 

Compensation/Benefits: 

$40,000.00 - $43,000.00
